What is IDEA CON?
Innovate@BU’s biggest student event of the year is going virtual–and global! IDEA Conference is a one-day event for college students to explore innovation and entrepreneurship in all fields.
Whether it’s through technology, social impact, or arts and culture, IDEA CON aims to ignite students’ passion and purpose to create meaningful impact in their careers and communities.
From start to finish, attendees will be inspired by world-class innovators, engage with strategies and useful tools for developing new ideas, and connect with resources and people from Boston University and beyond.
History of IDEA CON
In November of 2016, two days after the election, Wendy and Jen debuted the Arts & Ideas in Action: Arts + Business + Social Impact conference held at Boston University. With a SRO audience of business people, creative practitioners, artists, students galore and educators we hosted fabulous inspirational speakers, a drummer, a light installation, networking and skills building this was the kick off for what has morphed, under the brilliant direction of Innovate@BU into the fourth IDEA CON.
