Creative Re/Frame is thrilled to welcome to part-time staff members helping us behind the scenes! Who are they, you ask? Wonder no more! 

Avital Shira manages social media strategy for Creative Re/Frame, and is excited to connect with you all in the digisphere! She is a community organizer, theatre director, and arts administrator, originally from Portland, Oregon. Avital spent a decade traveling the United States, directing and assistant directing around the country. She also led community engagement strategy for Skillful, an initiative from the Markle Foundation in Colorado, and worked as an organizer for President Obama’s re-election campaign. A graduate of Yale College, Avital most recently graduated with an MFA in Directing and a certificate in Arts Administration from Boston University. At Boston University, she also taught undergraduate courses in acting and public speaking, and coached speakers for IDEA Con. Since the pandemic, Avital has worked on directing audio dramas and has taught both theatre and public speaking for our brave, new digital world.  

Alyssa Olsen is a lifelong lover of the arts and their community-building power, and she is thrilled to be a part of the Creative Re/Frame team! Alyssa is a stage manager, visual artist, and arts administrator from Salem, MA. She graduated from Endicott College in Beverly, MA with a B.S. in Interior Design with a Studio Art minor in 2016, and since then has put her education and her passion to work as a scenic painter, prop maker, and stage manager for local theaters, and as the Gallery Director and Production Assistant at the Firehouse Center for the Arts in Newburyport, MA. She is currently working towards her Master’s Degree in Arts Administration from Boston University. Since the pandemic began she has also picked up a new-found love of embroidery and playing Dungeons and Dragons.
